My Experience with the Violet Flame

Like most twentysomethings, I was busy experiencing what the world had to offer and began to have challenges in relationships and other areas of my life, which led to periods of depression.
I had always read and thought a lot about many things, and, as a result I had often been an early adopter of technology, alternative health practices, and new trends in general. So when I first heard and read about the violet flame I decided to give it a try.
Since I had read that giving fifteen minutes or more of Violet Flame each day was optimal, I made this my goal at home each night. At the time I only knew of one or two mantras so I mostly repeated “I AM a being of Violet Fire, I AM the purity God desires” over and over.
After two or three weeks of giving the violet flame, I remember thinking fifteen minutes was a very long time to be still and focused, especially after I wasn’t aware of any immediate results. But all that changed one evening.
I was giving the mantra and felt my mind begin to wander into worldly things. And at the moment I began to chastise myself for not focusing enough, a magnificent vision of violet flame suddenly appeared in my mind’s eye. It is difficult to describe, as it was more than something that I saw - it was an experience that had depth and understanding. The vision lingered for some time, and I understood that I had experienced the immensity and life-changing power of the violet flame.
From that moment on, I knew I would be giving the violet flame for the rest of my life. Years later, I am a completely new and better person who no longer has bouts of depression, is much healthier, and has greater compassion for others. [1]
